Welcome to Humble House
Hi everyone! We are so glad you are here. We are so glad that WE are here! Truly.
Our journey has not been linear, but each step of the way, forward or back, got us to where we are now, and we couldn’t be happier to be here. We opened as Generous Coffee Shop inside of Tributary Food Hall in August of 2019 and then opened our second location in Denver in early 2020 inside of Wayfinder Co-op. Then… you guessed it, COVID hit. We inevitably made the difficult decision to close our Denver shop and focus on our OG in Golden.
With the support of the community around us, we saw our little stand in the Golden food hall grow and grow, eventually completely out of our space. So, when the opportunity to move to a beautiful historic space just down the street presented itself, we jumped at it.
Then came the fun part - the opportunity to make a whole space our own and really establish our brand and vibe. With that came a re-brand, lots of furniture and decor shopping and a brand new partnership with Mountain Time Supply to run a retail shop showcasing work from local creators and global artisans in developing countries.
Fast forward a couple months, going through all the hiring and training processes, implementing new protocols and procedures, menu testing and development, and much more, we finally opened our doors quietly on June 9th… or so we thought. Our idea of opening without telling anyone to get a slow start and work out the kinks backfired in the best way. In the first 3 hours, we beat our record sales day in the food hall!
The Humble House community has been welcoming beyond belief! Our first 2 months of business have been so wildly rewarding and wonderful and we are just so grateful to be able to come to work each day.
Now to the Grand Opening Party & Ribbon Cutting Ceremony…
We met with Ali from the Golden Chamber right when we opened to discuss the event and decided to put it off for a few weeks to let us get in a good groove first. Then finally when the day of the event came, the Golden Chamber showed up, the community showed up and man did we have a celebration. We want to extend our deepest gratitude to the Chamber for helping to organize such a great event, making the nicest speech, and making us feel so welcome in Golden!
A heartfelt THANK YOU to every single person who has shown up in the past couple months AND the past 4 years to support us! We wouldn’t be here without you!
